Methyldiethanolamine (MDEA)

Removes H₂S and CO₂ from natural gas, mainly used for gas sweetening because it is energy efficient.

Diethanolamine (DEA)

Monoethanolamine (MEA)

Quickly removes CO₂ and H₂S; an effective chemical but can cause more corrosion than other amines.

Triethylene Glycol (TEG)

Removes water vapor from gas, prevents corrosion, and keeps gas dry for transport.

Monoethylene Glycol (MEG)

Prevents hydrate crystals from forming in pipelines, common in offshore and cold gas systems.

Methanol

Injected into gas lines to stop hydrate formation, mostly used for temporary or emergency operations.

Antifoam

Reduces foam formation inside amine and glycol systems, helping improve smooth plant operation.

Corrosion Inhibitors

Protect metal equipment and pipelines from rust and chemical corrosion caused by gas contaminants.

H₂S Scavengers

Chemicals that remove toxic Hydrogen Sulfide gas when an amine unit is not available.

Activated Carbon
